I use a torque wrench for a lot of nuts & bolts on my TJ but not on the drain plug. Thread it in with your fingers to avoid cross threading it, then use a 3/8" ratchet or combo wrench to get it good and snug. I suggest those because they're less likely to over tighten the drain plug than a 1/2" drive ratchet wrench is. So, I think I may go buy a torque wrench and back the oil drain plug out just before it starts to leak and re-tighten using a torque wrench. Do you think this is good idea or just leave it.
